The interaction with the community is among the premises of SINOBRAS, so it supports initiatives that contribute to the improvement of life of the region in which it is installed, giving example of social responsibility.

Among the institutions benefiting are the Foundation for Assistance to Children and Adolescents, which serves more than 600 children through the Child Romary Educational Center, the School of Music of Villa Lobos and Little School Football Maraba.

Promoting business and people

The Eagle Maraba Football Club (Águia de Marabá Futebol Clube), the most representative city of Maraba sport, is sponsored by SINOBRAS.

Founded in 1982, the club is supported by the company since 2009.



Preserving the Environment, Fauna and Flora

The Zoobotânica Foundation Maraba, responsible for Zoobotânico Park Marabas also encouraged by SINOBRAS. With 1,500 acres of the institution remains preserving animal and plant species.

The funds granted by the Company are invested in facility improvements and promoting environmental education to the community.



Developing citizenship

Through the WMA Institute, maintained by the Grupo Aço Cearense - Ceará Steel Group, SINOBRAS develops the My Community program is More, which supports an annual institution, community or group, through financial support for conducting vocational courses, assembly areas for development activities , among other actions.




Culture at Focus

Support to culture, is the sponsor of the Steel Company Yaguara Dance. Comprised of 32 dancers between 14 and 17 years old, the Company disseminates regional folklore and even promotes Yaguara Kids, aimed at children between 6 and 13 years old, with 40 participants, removing children and adolescents’ social risk.

With this support, Cia Yaguara has gained prominence on the national level through participation in large events such as the Joinville Dance Festival.

Involve work teams and their families with actions for volunteering is the mission of SINOBRAS in Action Program, created in 2008.

Formed by employees, the program aims to contribute to reducing the impact of inequalities, encouraging these people and their families volunteer involvement in social action. The Basic Computer Course and Children's Day in Action are examples of group actions aimed at the employees of the companies.

The group also operates in underserved communities through Christmas Happy Action Campaign, which collects food and toys for children in situations of social vulnerability.
